A free public event where residents of Altadena and Pasadena joined together to reconnect, learn, and participate in shaping the future of the Fair Oaks Avenue corridor through creative, welcoming, and family-friendly programming.

Juneteenth

Our heartfelt thanks to My Tribe Rise and all of the other organizations for an inspiring Juneteenth Community Fair on June 20, 2026 at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Altadena. The event brought together residents, local organizations, artists, businesses, and community leaders for a day of celebration, connection, and hope. It was wonderful to see such strong community participation as neighbors gathered to honor Black history and culture while continuing the shared work of rebuilding and strengthening Altadena. Thank you, My Tribe Rise, for creating a welcoming space that uplifted our community and reminded us of the power of coming together.

We hosted Regrow Altadena: Resilient, Sustainable Communities on Sept. 13th and 14th, 2025 from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm. This FREE two-day event brought together innovation and community, featuring resilient and affordable homebuilding and home hardening solutions, people-focused mobility, community emergency hub concepts, and shared neighborhood resources like solar, fire detectors, and gardens. The program also features panel conversations—hosted by and centered on Altadena voices—with active audience participation. Topics include: Future Altadena, Community Assets, Building Better, Home Hardening, Fire-Adaptive Vegetation and Heat Islands, Clean and Healthy Living, People-Focused Mobility, and Light Equity.
